Introducing Sea Change Wines

Introducing ethically sourced wines from Sea Change - lover of wine, protector of oceans.

We are delighted to introduce ethically sourced Sea Change wines to the Crab Shed. Delicious wines from a company passionate about protecting our oceans, a cause dear to the hearts of the seafaring community here on Fish Quay. Every (minimally packaged, plastic-free) bottle helps fund ocean conservation. Find out more here>

This spring we are adding Sea Change's Sauvignon Blanc (France), Pinot Grigio (Italy), Pinot Grigio Rose (Italy), Provence Rose (France) and Merlot (France). These lovely wines are available by the glass and bottle. See our new season wine list here>

Sea Change describe themselves as a lover of wine, protector of oceans. Sea Change bottles use natural cork, there is no plastic in the wrapper, the label paper is printed on sustainable forests made in part from grape waste.

The company believes that everyone has a role to play in protecting our oceans. Eight million tonnes of plastic enters the ocean every year. If our behaviours don’t change, scientists predict this amount could increase tenfold by 2025. When you choose Sea Change, not only are you able to enjoy great wines but you are helping fund conservation projects globally that help protect our oceans and the animals that live in them.

For every 75cl bottle of Sea Change sold, Sea Change contributes a minimum of 25 Euro Cents to their charity partners. Since launching in 2018, the company has raised in excess of €300,000 for their partners, something they are incredibly proud of.

Their partners range in size from global charities like Ocean Generation to smaller charities like the Olive Ridley Project and Sea-Changers UK. The company's aim is to support a local charity in every region where Sea Change is sold. They are committed to helping these incredible organisations protect our marine wildlife and prevent plastic pollution from taking over our oceans.
