A big thank you to @fooddrinkdevon for presenting us with 3 fabulous Gold Awards dedicated to Quality, Sustainability and Provenance at the 11th Food Drink Devon Award Ceremony at the Crowne Plaza, Plymouth.
Our White Crab Meat and Brown Crab Meat received the Gold Awards in the Production category and Crab Shed Salcombe received the Gold Award in the Hospitality Restaurant category.
Many congratulations to all the other winners - without a doubt, we are so lucky to live in such a superb county as Devon which is filled with fabulous food and delicious drink.
We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition for all the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of our wonderful Crab Shed team both in our factory and the restaurant at Crab Shed Salcombe.
We supplied our white hand picked crab meat for the pre-dinner canopes - the head chef at the Crowne Plaza Plymouth where the dinner was held, created these lovely pastry tartlets filled with our delicious flaky crab meat topped with delicious Ebbtide ‘Seaweed Caviar’ for the drinks before the dinner. Even though we do say so ourselves, the canopes were really delicious and the Ebbtide ‘Seaweed Caviar’ was soooo nice and worked really well with our crab meat.

"We were at Scott’s of Mayfair recently. We ate a very similar sharing platter. The price is irrelevant as the quality of the two dining experiences were similar. However, the food at the Crab Shed was without doubt far superior. The scallops and lobster were absolutely to die for. The service was friendly and exceptional. We love this restaurant and will continue to dine there."
